There is very little to say about the brand new Ford Fiesta that hasn't already been said. Critics and the public have declared it a universal success and the plaudits for Ford's design team have been literally gushing ever since the new Fiesta Model was unveiled last year. I, however, was a fan of the previous Ford Fiesta incarnation. The body was exactly like a slightly smaller Ford Focus; sleek and rounded, but with mature sporty flourishes. I personally found the new Fiesta to have the visage of a car that, at best, was trying a little too hard.
As it happens, I am obviously in luck, as there are a considerable amount of used or nearly new Ford Fiestas available at the moment, all of which are the previous design style. I visited my local Ford dealer and was astonished that there was a very long waiting list for the new Fiesta, but there were so many fantastic old Fiestas available at a fraction of the price. The old adage that taste counts for nothing really does appear to be true. In my eyes the new Fiesta looks like it was designed by a child with a fixation for colours that resemble hard candy.
